40 Strong Trailblazer Meeting

by | Apr 25, 2017

More than 40 participants are due to attend tomorrow’s Trailblazer Group meeting, which is being held and chaired by Universe Group at the Supply Chain Academy in Upminster.

Attendees are arriving from a broad cross section of business, higher education and professional bodies, which continues to produce a perfectly balanced approach to the development of the Supply Chain Leadership Degree Apprenticeship.

This week’s meeting will see the presentation of the final draft of their proposals for the standard. Some lively debate is expected, as the group discuss and refine the standard before submission to the Institute For Apprenticeships in May.

The Supply Chain Academy’s Paul Stone, who will be chairing the meeting, commented “Its great to see so many people committing their own time to this, which is ultimately for the benefit of the industry as a whole.  We will be seeing top retail brands, exporters, importers, freight forwarders, universities, training organisations and supply chain specialists, all coming together to contribute to this exciting project.”

The first-of-its-kind degree apprenticeship is currently on course to be ready for September this year. While there is a strong contingent attending tomorrow’s meeting, there are over one hundred organisations involved in the overall process, which has been led and chaired by the Uniserve Group.

If you would like to find out more about the degree apprenticeship, or how the Supply Chain Academy can benefit your business, then please email info@supplychainacademy.org.uk or call 01708 259450.
