The Supply Chain Academy (SCA) and the Uniserve Group, in collaboration with the Institute of Directors (IoD), recently hosted a client networking cricket day for customers at Chelmsford County Cricket Ground.

The West Indies cricket team played a three day match against Essex as they prepared for their three match Test Series against England. Essex named a 12-man squad which included teenage pace bowler Sam Cook.

The all-day event was a great opportunity for Supply Chain Academy customers to meet and network with other directors for potential business whilst watching the cricket, which ended in a draw.

Working in collaboration, the Supply Chain Academy and the IoD Essex Branch are in discussion to jointly deliver global trade themed events, using the SCA as the ‘go-to’ lead on global trade and supply chain disruptions issues.

The next event, which takes place at the Academy’s headquarters (Upminster Court, Essex) and includes dinner, is due to be held on 5th October 2017, when speakers will give the latest update on Brexit negotiations and an opportunity to get ahead with global trade opportunities.
