Supply Chain Academy has partnered with the University of West London to launch a new Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship designed to equip professionals with the digital, leadership and sustainability skills needed to transform modern supply chains.
As organisations continue to navigate global disruption, artificial intelligence (AI), digitalisation, sustainability requirements and increasing customer expectations, the demand for highly skilled supply chain professionals has never been greater.
Delivered through a hybrid learning module
Recognising this need, Supply Chain Academy, in partnership with the University of West London, has launched the BSc (Hons) Leading Digital Transformation for Sustainable Supply Chains; an innovative Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship that enables both existing employees and early career professionals to gain a university degree while applying their learning to real workplace challenges.
What sets the programme apart is its strong emphasis on practical application: Unlike a traditional university degree, the programme is delivered through a hybrid learning model, combining engaging live online teaching, interactive workshops, workplace projects and independent study. This flexible approach enables learners to balance their studies with full-time employment, applying new knowledge and skills immediately in the workplace. Rather than focusing solely on academic theory, learners tackle real business challenges through live projects that improve operational performance, strengthen resilience and drive digital transformation, creating measurable value for their employers throughout the programme, not just at the end of it.
Designed specifically for supply chain professionals
The degree has been designed specifically for professionals working across procurement, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, transport, operations and wider supply chain functions, helping employers develop the leadership capability required for increasingly complex and digitally enabled supply chains.
The programme also enables organisations to maximise investment through the Growth & Skills Levy, helping eligible employers develop existing employees without bearing the full cost of the qualification. Importantly, investing in people shouldn’t just be reserved for the largest organisations. Businesses of all sizes, including ambitious SMEs looking to scale up can also access apprenticeship funding to develop future leaders, strengthen capability and build the skills needed for long-term, sustainable growth.
