Apprenticeship Overview
The Supply Chain & Procurement Practitioner Programme is designed to develop skilled professionals capable of managing and improving supply chain operations across a wide range of industries. This work-based supply chain training programme equips learners with the practical knowledge and strategic insight needed to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments.
The programme is based upon the Supply Chain Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard Level 3 which was created by industry leaders and practitioners to meet real business demands. It provides a robust framework to build a more confident, capable, and skilled workforce ready to handle end-to-end supply chain operations.
Who is the programme for?
As companies navigate increasingly complex and delicate supply chains to stay competitive, it’s essential that their workforce not only understands the specific demands of their roles but also grasps the broader context in which their business operates.
The Supply Chain & Procurement Practitioner Programme is ideal for newcomers to supply chain roles and equally effective in upskilling existing professionals already employed in key areas such as logistics, warehousing, procurement, and manufacturing. This Level 3 Supply Chain Apprenticeship is well-suited to employees looking to build practical, role-specific capabilities in line with today’s business needs.
Where will the programme take your people and your organisation?
Enrolling your employees in the Supply Chain & Procurement Practitioner offers a strategic route to building a highly capable, motivated, and future-ready workforce. The programme aligns directly with operational job roles, ensuring that learners gain practical skills in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and more.
Beyond productivity gains, the programme also enhances employee engagement and retention – key outcomes of investing in structured workforce development. This programme also supports succession planning by developing a pipeline of talent ready to grow with the business.
This qualification also serves as a stepping stone for those ready to progress further – potentially into our Supply Chain Degree Apprenticeship, delivered through the Apprenticeship Levy.
